Hi ED, the Hornet and Stennis are amazing.

If I could make a request we only need one spawn location on the flight deck.

Elevator 2 is perfect.

Currently have jets pop up on all elevators is a bit of a nightmare when your are trying to load ten aircraft. Lots of collisions and flight delays.

Having one location that you load on and then taxi off of is excellent for managing spawns of multiple aircraft.

 

 

I see your point for multiplayer, however, for single player, it could use MORE parking. Hard to set missions up when only 4 "active" planes can call the Stennis home at a time. My solution? Make as much parking as possible, and have options in the editor to activate/deactivate the parking you need.

 

This would allow you to choke it down for multiplayer, but also the most freedom in terms of mission creation.

Mad_Max2, I love that idea, in the mission creation window for the stennis, have a tab which lists all the parking locations with a check box next to it for enabling/disabling the location for both Spawn/Despawn

Is much easier, just reproduce the spawn parking numbers you have in the air bases for the Stennis.

 

Just create client flights and in the editor tab choose the parking slot number to spawn.

I understand that in a event where it is coordinated how people enter this might be a good option.

But for other multiplayer servers there might be other needs and I would like to add another option which would be to have aircraft spawn on all elevators. But there has to be a limitation with that spawns are disabled for an elevator if any aircraft taxi within the frame of the elevator, which after all is very easy for everyone to see.

 

 

Another option would be to have spawning at elevators 2,3,4 while leaving the area between 1 and 2 and elevator 1 for rearm and refuel. (It seems to be the largest space that would be rendered useless if all elevators were spawnable.)

 

 

 

The reason is that when you start cold it would take many minutes before the next person could spawn in and this would create a low sortie rate/ launch rate unless everyone land to rearm and refuel.

 

 

 

One thing I would like to add as something I would like to see, since we are seeing a lot rubberbanding deaths on joining, is; When you have your chocks on the server desides your location and basicly lock you to the fixed position on the carrier as if you were chained to the deck. Once you remove the chocks the transfer to the client happens.

I know most folk want parking spots but we sometimes load our flight deck fairly tight and like to give the guy spawning in a good buffer so he doesn’t warp damage other aircraft.

It was working good at the start where everyone arrived on elevator 2. It’s the current system where you have no idea where someone will appear that’s causing trouble for more than 6 jets.

 

We still manage but just thought it’d be good to highlight.
