[DCSISSUE] Cant re-select Viggen in Mission editor

Latest OB.

 

After placing a Viggen, doesnt matter if player, AI, ramp, air etc. I cant select the Viggen again. Nothing happens when I click the icon. But if I select another unit (plane) and then select the Viggen again, it kinda gets selected, but not highlighted, and I get the attached error message. New mission and old missions, same thing.

 

When I start the mission with the above error, this error appears during loading too. So Viggen is stranded for me atm, for any new created mission.

Also when a Viggen is 'half' selected, it blocks the 'View unit List'. It wont show, until I choose another plane.

I dont know. Works fine with every other plane/module.

And that waypoint thing made me think its a Viggen specific problem?

Did you ever get a fix for this?

 

I bought the Viggen yesterday and I am having the same issue with regard to selcting the Viggen once I place it in a mission. I don't get the error message you did, but I can only re-select the Viggen if I drop and select another plane first. It also does not properly select, so I can't ctrl-c/crtl-v etc.

 

It's not a killer, but it is a bit of a pain.

Can you upload your dcs.log? Start DCS and replicate the bug, then look into %SAVEDGAMES%\DCS Openbeta (if you use openbeta)\logs for the file and upload it here.

Hi,

 

Here are some log files. For some reason it seems to create two zip files, so I have included both of them.

 

Procedure was as follows;

 

1. Open DCS.

2. Create new mission in the Gulf (although it happens in the Caucuses too)

3. Place an AJ37S.

4. The AJ37S is no longer 'clickable'.

 

Hope this helps. I have also attached the mission.

Had forgotten about this thread.

My workaround since then has just been to set the Viggen as Intercept, then I can select it again. If I set it as GroundAttack (default), then I cant select it, unless I select another plane (another type), then I can go back and select the Viggen.

 

The error message I havent seen since. Not sure what that was.

You'r right, the problem is related to the "task". Changing it from "ground attack" to another one fix the problem.
