Alphamale Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I just saved a track and decided to watch it....after it was over I quit and was taken to the briefing as I expected...I then decided to "Fly Again". This put me back watching the tracked I just saved. It was not a new attempt. I should have been placed(spawned) back in the cockpit as any Fly Again selection would have done at mission debriefing...this just keeps putting me back in the spectators seat
Alphamale Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 Ok, I tried it again with AV8B and same thing happens...so this would be a DCS World matter? And not a F18 problem?

Alphamale Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 The Track function is known to often not reproduce events accurately... So, you're saying that this has already been reported? Or that the system has a bunch of quirks that will never really go away?
Emmy Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 So, you're saying that this has already been reported? Or that the system has a bunch of quirks that will never really go away? It's been reported widely, recognized and more or less accepted behavior... Whether or not there will ever be a "fix" is anyone's guess. However, track files do contain data that ED can extract for debugging whether the visuals remain correct or not. Ironhand Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 (edited) You folks are talking about two different things. Emmy is talking about track replay inaccuracy. Alphamale, if I understand you correctly, you are talking about pressing FLY AGAIN after viewing a track and the track file is loaded rather than the original mission file. The issue is that there is only one selection screen in use, so the selection keys don't change depending on whether you are want to view a track or refly a mission. Once you view the track file, until you exit to select something different, that track file remains selected. So pressing FLY AGAIN is the same as pressing VIEW TRACK. Of course, once you are in the cockpit by either means, you can always press ESC, select TAKE CONTROL, and "fly again".
