VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

Recommended Posts

I applied the mod as always with no problems. I don't see water transparency in Persian Gulf map from 2.5.6. Water NEW reflections are OK, night lightning is OK.

Any ideas?

Pretty sure thats intended functionality with this MOD

Thanks very much. I tried to google exactly for the thread you have posted!

I will try to to revert original water but keep the others. At least mask for MSAA is a must.

Does anybody know what files are core for applying hmd mask and msaa size only keeping all graphics bells and whistles?

I'm getting weird night time lighting glitches. Don't know if this mod is responsible or not. Just as a fyi, so you know in future.

If I use default zoom (no zoom, normal view), I get a grid of lines, like strobe lights, across my view. Close one eye, and half the lines go away. Close the other, the perpendicular lines go away.

If I zoom in at all, the glitches go away and the view renders perfectly!

Pimax 5k+, shaders mod for 2.5.6 (duh), PP is off.

Daytime flight is fine, no glitches.

Any ideas?

I've noted that when I rename "dcs" to "dcs_old" in mods\terrains\*MAP*\misc\metacache\, DCS don't create and refresh it again.

That is correct behaviour.

I thought that the behaviour is similar to when you delete "fxo" an "metashadera2": DCS create the folder again.

No, it is different.

I see no more edge cropping with the new 2.5.6 ICpass, which is bad.

Hence the mod seems inactive. I updated the same way like the weeks before when it worked, incl. disable and remove mod, repair dcs via console, delete the mentioned files in saved games and main. Anyone with the same outcome?

So does that mean that every time i start the game it will compile the new shaders? wich takes long time?

No. Only the first time, or prior flight when you load a map the first time. After that loading times are normal. Every now and then in the first flights you can get some stutter when a new shader is built I guess. Just test it.

Works fine now on my end with todays update.

as a general rule of thumb, i uninstall all mods from the DCS World\ directory before i upgrade anything, so i always remod after upgrading

I've probably left my Oculus 0.73 mask size in there, double check the config file.
