i just tested this against my variant and it works, so knock yourself out; but it might change, it wont pass IC, and i dont think it will work with Kegety's base mod, as it overwrites some of the same files

For anyone interested, I've just tested DCS VR Shaders mod for 2.5.6.50321 (Clear Water, IC Pass) on the latest, Dec 17th 2.5.6.59398 Open Beta. Works perfectly on Caucasus and Syria !

 

While I'm here, massive thanks to Kegetys and speed-of-heat for this mod, really helps me maintain a solid 45FPS with MP and the IC pass is a real bonus.

I'm experiencing minor issue with it in A10C-II cockpit.  The left panel texture that was updated with the patch gets some strange artifacting with this mod.  It is more apparent if I use the clean cockpit rather than aged.

 

I tried to troubleshoot the source but not enough time.  Plus it seemed minor issue if I use the aged cockpit.

Hello Guys

Haven't been here for a while. Can you tell where I can find the newest version of this mod with IC pass?  Is still upgrade in framerates so high?

 

At least anyone can tell me what files I should delete to pass IC?

if you have ASW or Motion Reprojection enabled .. you will see zero frame rate increase...

Yeah but it should help in keeping the 45 (or 40 depending on the headset) for ASW

Two reasons for this type of error, you are using the wrong version of the mod, or you have an additional mod that is causing a compatibility issue...

yes.  if in doubt try it it takes very little time to test... and if it didn't you would have seen the wall of people asking for it to be updated...

I'm having the same issue in the "old" A-10C cockpit and as it doesn't have the aged cockpit option it is rather noticable. Tried to disable all optimizations and improvements of the shader mod in the "_HMD.hlsl" settings file but same result. Also tried playing around with the shadow settings inside DCS and same result. @Taz1004 were you able to solve this for the A-10C-II cockpit?

No, I didn't bother because I don't fly the old one anymore and I use the aged cockpit in the new one.  I'll try to dig through the files once I have some time.

Noticed this too. The throttle and a few other surfaces remind me of the decaying plastic of an old, beater car interior.

So it didn't take me too long to find the source.  As mentioned, this artifacting is more apparent on New cockpit or old A10C cockpit.  And this seems to be only affecting full version of the mod.  Not speed-of-heat's IC safe version.  Shouldn't affect performance.

@speed-of-heat Is Kegetys MIA?  This mod of a mod I assume is confusing to some people.  Perhaps you should create new thread with updates and give credit to Kegetys?

 

Instead of applying this as patch to this mod, I suggest downloading the consolidated version by speed-of-heat HERE which includes this fix.

Not MIA but, he only seems to make changes when we have the core break something., and he is usually pretty swift at fixing stuff then. He responds pretty well to PM’s or did last time I checked,

 

but also I’m not smart enough or have the time to do much more than butcher his work, and yours for that matter🤪 I will see but yes that seems like a reasonable option.

 

thanks for doing this @Taz1004.  I will integrate it into the patches later today, but,you might want to reach out to him directly to see if he will make changes to the core mod, a lot depends on what you changed, I’m on my iPad at the moment, so can’t see.

Not sure if this is an issue. I've noticed that whenever I come to reapply the shaders mod following an OB update, I clear down FXO but when I look in metashaders2, it is always already empty. Does it depend on module/terrain or something or am I missing something ?
