VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

Yeah, that's with the mod installed and on SP. If I remove the mod I have zero issues.

 

ResolveDepth.fx does not appear in any of the mods so I'm also puzzled why it's barking at that.

 

 

the file is not there, but it exists in the mod folder, however if I copy to the original bazar\shaders\deferred .... nothing changes  =/

if _HMD.hlsl is not in that location, then you have not installed the mod correctly...

Maybe I wasn't clear. When I have the mod installed i can see the file in the folder you mentioned, however at the moment the game with the mod installed won't run because of the issues I mentioned in my previous post.

 

I'd like to get rid of the canopy reflections without using the mod and within the original Bazar folder, that file does not exists. What I did was copy it from the modified bazar folder into the original and it does not change the canopy for the game without the mod.

 

Is there a way I can use the simple_canopy setting without the mod?

so i retested this this morning; as my throttle is broken icant actually play, but, on my install it fires up just fine using this version https://forums.eagle.ru/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=204801

Still the same error.. I'm just going to sit out this version till 7.2 is out on stable .... even the beta gives me the same error...

 

The only thing different that I can think is the graphics card driver but i don't see why it would cause this specific error

I can’t get the error to repo, so there is likely some delta , it’s almost impossible to say what, try this rename the saved games directory for dcs, and fire it up, it will take a long time to load and you will lose your current settings, but they will all be saved in your renamed folder.

No go either, I had tried something similar with a clean install. it's just crazy whats going on, I give up and will wait for other version of the patch.

Is this why the 'circle' effect is no longer showing on the monitor mirror? I remember in the older versions of the mod the corners of the picture on the mirror would be black because the game wasn't rendering what the headset couldn't see. After installing this mod, I see the full picture on the mirror, including the corners, and I feel I have done something incorrectly. Should the render still be a circle like it always used to or is it OK now that I am seeing 100% of the render on the mirror? I attached a picture of the mirror and circled where the black sections used to be on the older mods.

You can’t,  if you want the mask, which improves performance, you get it on the 2d mirror.  The mask is not part of VR shaders since 2.7 , it is part of the base game.

 

you can turn it off, there are a number of threads about it.

 

the only option that I am aware of is to oversample your 2d mirror, and then use something to just record the middle. There are some threads on this.

Someone has console lights bugs? When i turn on on planes graphics bugs appers (change on ilumination on some parts of the cockpit on Viper and Hornet, some noise appears on textures on A10...)

BUT one question. Possible that water-transparency is not existing anymore WITH the mod installed?

I tried on the new Marianas map and tried with your mod and without. Here is the screenshot with the mod:

Yes there already threads on this, they do very different things, be aware there is a perf hit associated with using it

Hello Wingmen!

 

The VR shader mod runs very well, DCS VR Shaders mod for 2.7.0.4625 (Clear Water).

Most time like 95% i fly just in mp and in with my flight squadron. 

 

I have a simple or maybe not simple question.

After every update from DCS, i have to reactive the shader mod via JSMGE/ (is nearly the same like OVMGE)

Does work out.

Usually i dont have to delete FXO and the metacache folders in C:\Users\Blabla\Saved Games\....

And the map folders in DCS Main Folder. You know what i mean.

 

But when i first start the game, after a fresh update of the dcs beta client,

It tooks very very long to start the game, very very long to load a terrain for the first time (SP + MP)

Then when im in the game, i have first invisible cockpit, and the weapons are missing, after like 10 minutes, everything works properly.

Someday i had read somewhere why it does take so long...and that this could be fixed(Is issues where things load, and repeats some stuff for 4-to 5 times...- Programm Lua C++ stuff and way to high for me.

Does anyone know or does anyone work to get a new reworked version of the shadermod without loading times up to 10-20 minutes for the first time? 

Any possible solution?

no.

 

because of the way the mod works and what it does, essentially the shader files need to be regenerated for each object in the game, this is actually what DCS itself does now as well which is why you dont have to delete fxo and metashaders as often as you once did... the invisible cockpit thing is usually intermittent and i only see it (though rarely) the first time i am in a plane... 

 

what you have observed though is that the game should be faster loading after each successive mission as more and more objects are already cached on disk.

 

could it be fixed ... of course... "its just software"... will it be fixed no ... because of how the base game and mod actually work.
