jeh Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Hi Ladies and Gentlemen, I recently created a new user on my PC to switch to when I stream or record videos. Rather annoyingly when I start DCS from this user profile, I get all the licensing windows for add-ons pop up again asking for activation. Naturally I don't want to use up 'activations' unnecessarily. It's on the same Windows installation after all. Is there a way to fix this that anyone knows of? Jeh
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 18, 2018 ED Team Posted July 18, 2018 The profile switch in windows means you are using a different account and registry. You will need to use an activation. Rudel_chw Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Is there a way to fix this that anyone knows of? You could try this: Using windows’ RegEdit utility, while connected with the previous user, backup this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Eagle Dynamics/ Now connect with the new user, run the utility again and restore the key. Not sure if it will work, buth worth a try .... ONLY if you havent yet activated the modules on the new user.
