Case III Recovery Practice Mission

Yea, I was totally hoping/expecting the same thing. No big deal though, it shouldn't be too time consuming to create a mission...although I'd totally take one if someone did drop one in here...:music_whistling:

Is there not a case iii instant action mission you could use as per Matt's vid?

missions might not be compatible with ICLS update

thanks matt!

so I took matt's mission, made the way in slightly shorter because I was in a hurry, and set visibility parameters that makes it a bit more challenging ! (262ft of forward visibility (clouds + fog) and rain.. you will see the carrier or the sea only a few seconds before touchdown)

Enjoy !

and yes, I did it repeatedly, otherwise I wouldnt brag about it :P (tracks available if anyone want to see it down below)

its a shame I have to go on vacation for 10 days in a couple of hours.. I am really enjoying this !!!

Made a youtube video just for fun !

Not sure why, but in your night fog case 3 recovery mission there is something wrong with HSI page. When turning on TACAN and trying to select it on DDI with button, it won't put a box around TACAN. It still works as distance to TACAN starts to display on HUD, but then when plotting course - bearing line would not display on HUD heading tape. Also, a somewhat similar problem with ICLS - pressing on the DDI button does not put a box around it, so you are stuck flying and hoping that it worked (which it did).

Thank you for response, I will test that.

EDIT: At my PC I can see some element's on HSI are dimmed, but I can see boxes and bearing line (dimmed but visible). Steering bar on HUD heading tape disappears when you select desired course - that's correct F-18 logic. :)

You can try to press the button I circled in red?

Can you post some screenshot?

Sorry, just got around to flying your mission again. Boxes are indeed there, but in VR I had to zoom and really look for them; practically invisible...
