[MISSING TRACK FILE] Aim-9 Seeker Circle Stuck at HUD Edge

Anyone find the Aim-9 seeker circle sometimes gets stuck at the edge of the HUD? I think this happens after a turning dogfight if that missile was tracking but was not fired. Caging/uncaging, undesignate, missile stepping all do not seem to recenter it. Is this like a simulated fault or bug or am I missing something?

 

I'm flying Update 7 + Hotfix but I do recall it happening before the updates.

 

UPDATE: I think this happens when I undesignate the Aim-9 seeker's target. The Aim-9 seeker gets stuck at its last position on the HUD. The only way to recenter it is to acquire a target again (using the same Aim-9). I'm not sure if this is the only way to repeat it though. Please see track file.

Post a track file of the mission so ED can take a closer look at it. Personally, I don't know if that is correct or wrong behavior and I cannot recall if I have experienced it.

I have seen this a lot.

 

Usually it can be fixed by reselecting AIM9 (push AIM9 select button again or switch to AIM7 then back to AIM9), then the seeker will recenter.

I've seen it too. I tired everything I could think of to fix it, but couldn't get it back to normal.
