Offset Mouse Issue

Recommended Posts

I'm encountering a weird problem, where my mouse cursor needs to be placed several inches away from a menu item, for that menu item to be highlighted (selected). The cursor is always offset away from the menu item or icon in the Main DCS menu, as well as the sub menu sections.

This makes navigating around and choosing options difficult as I need to move the mouse around until I see a slight movement or change of color on a menu button indicating it is selected.

I thought it might have something to do with the weird Aspect Ratio setting of 1.6666666666667. I did manage to change the value to 16:9, however it changes back before I can click the OK button and exit.

I haven't searched extensively for this problem in the forums - has anyone seen this or offer a solution?

What is the native resolution of your screen? You need to set it to that. Otherwise you get these issues with the GUI. If your PC can’t handle the native resolution you need play in a windowed mode or get a smaller resolution.

It’s not strange. 1280 divided by 768 is an aspect ratio of 1.66667. The issue is that is not the resolution of your monitor.

Hi there

I've got this problem now also. Mouse is offset to the left in full screen mode but not windowed screen. My aspect ratio appears to agree with my recommended screen resolution. Can anyone offer any advice? It works ok in the DCS version but not the open Beta.

IIRC ALT-TABbing in & out back and forth eventually fixes this. It's an older issue that imho is not a DCS issue but OS/VGA issue.

I might be completely wrong but trying takes 5 seconds only.

Thanks for that suggestion

Sadly doesn’t make any difference

This is exactly the same problem I had a while ago and the solution was as KTFBGB describes,

give it a go as monitor resolution has been the route cause of the issue for both of us

Feel a bit stupid, after looking at aspect ration until I had square eyes I’ve finally noticed the resolution of my display was wrong. It’s working perfectly now

Very sorry to have wasted people’s time !!!
