D4n Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I don't see any rain drops using these settings (I tried all "rain" weather presets, flew below the clouds, no rain): DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013 DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. (After all there's enough hostility on the internet already which really doesn't help anyone. Thanks.) Dell Visor VR headset, Ryzen 5 5600 (6C/12T), RTX 4060 - basic DCS-community rule-of-thumb: Don't believe bad things that a PvP pilot claims about another PvP pilot without having analyzed the existing evidence
Shadow_1stVFW Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Just for the sake of clarity, you are beneath a raining cloud, correct? westr Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 I’ve found you need to have cloud density set to either 9-10 in ME. RYZEN 7 3700X Running at 4.35 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti 32gb DDR4 RAM @3200 MHz Oculus CV1 NvME 970 EVO TM Warthog Stick & Throttle plus 11" extension. VKB T-Rudder MKIV
D4n Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 I’ve found you need to have cloud density set to either 9-10 in ME. Tried that, in the preset it already is on 9. Tried with 10 now, no change. Yes of course I was flying below the clouds layer, as I wrote above. razo+r Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Try to not to fly. If you fly, you are most likely too fast for the drops to appear.
Nick_17 Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Just to be clear...did you just fly around? I'm asking because you can see the raindrop effects only at speeds below 50 knots or something. 1) Asus ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming Wifi D4 / i9 13900K @ 5,5 Ghz / Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 128 GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200 Mhz / Asus ROG Strix RTX 4090 / 2 x 4 TB SSD Samsung 870 Evo / 2 x 1 TB M.2 SSD Samsung 980 Pro / Meta Quest Pro 2) Asus ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming / i9 10900K @ 4,9 Ghz / Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 64 GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200 Mhz / Asus ROG Strix RTX 3090 / 1 TB SSD Samsung 870 Evo / 500 GB M.2 SSD Samsung 980 Pro / HP Reverb G2
Knock-Knock Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 You are not running the VR Shader mod by any chance? Id not be surprised if canopy drops are yanked out of that Shader Mod, for performance reasons. - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Shadow_1stVFW Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 As others have said, you can't be flying. You've got to be kind of slow almost stationary to see the effects. D4n Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 Wow yep, over 80 knots not visible. Thanks! Sorry, I expected to still notice it at over 120 knots. Hexypu Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 (edited) I'm not seeing rain droptlet effects even with the option turned on (checkbox) in the Harrier after OB 2.5.3.21107 hotfix. Is anyone else having a similar problem? (PG map) Edited September 2, 2018 by Hexypu
