arturojgt Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Hi to everyone. I’m trying to do the night AAR maple flag mission but is so difficult, I’m trying to use the light system in the belly of the kc135 but the metallic arc in the cockpit obstruct the vision, any sugestión? arturojgt Posted August 6, 2018 Author Posted August 6, 2018 Do I need to stay on the right like an f15? Or just behind just like the videos on YouTube? Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk Pro Arturo "Chaco" Gonzalez Thomas
nachomaga Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 You need to be just behind the tanker, like you see in videos. I use the light system in 135 just for approach, then only by eye (don’t follow the boom when you are close, follow the tanker). Another thing is ED change the default view in VR for the A-10, moved back in the seat, that I found worst for refueling (and HUD visibility by the way), and I move the view forward, with Ctrl+Shift+Num pad keys, if I remember well. Anyway, refueling is a long learning process, need patience and a good throttle control. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. Me vendría bien aprender un poco volando con alguien que sabe, te interesa conectarnos? (Vuelo en simuladores militares desde hace mucho tiempo, a este lo agarre hace poco). pimp Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 You shouldn't need the lights since the fuel hose is on the front of the A-10. Those lights are normally for jets where the fuel hose is not visible from the pilot's perspective, for example in the F-15. i9 14900k @5.6GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z790 A-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 990 Pro 2TB | 64GB DDR5 6400MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | PiMAX CRYSTAL LIGHT | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals

Those lights are there for that very thing, regardless of what airframe is taking a drink. arturojgt Posted August 7, 2018 Author Posted August 7, 2018 Both of you have right Pimp and Panther, the light system is there for that only but in the A10 the boom and the wings from the boom obstruct the pilot vision of this light system (I fly VR only and I can’t see it). I tried to fly with the monitor few days a go but was imposible, there is no going back. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando Tapatalk Pro Arturo "Chaco" Gonzalez Thomas
Vannipo Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 All of u VR guys (me included) should map the commands to adjust the seat position to e.g.: RCTRL+RHIFT+POV-Hat of ur joystick. I really need to adjust my seat position very often while in a mission.

I really need to adjust my seat position very often while in a mission. Change “Cockpit View/Head Position” and hit “Save Cockpit Angles,” then use only one button to “Re-center VR view.” Much easier.
