Many aircraft that use garmin equipment have two seperate units mounted within the cockpit.

Now that the NS430 sits on the center console and is best viewed by the commander, the space on the copilot's panel is free. I actually preferred the NS430 on the copilot's panel as is made flying while keeping an eye on whatever information you need from the NS430 easier.

Why not mount two units in the MI8's cockpit? There is plenty of use for it in my opinion!
