Hi,

Just like you I'm enjoying the Hornet and counting down days until next update every week. Amazing work ED! Can't wait for the future! However, as I'm trying to "steal" the knowledge from the Manual and various Guides I could not find any information on the below. Please, take a moment and help me understand the issues listed:

1. Is it possible to set Rockets to fire continuously one by one while the trigger is depressed (I'm dreaming of a 3-second 150+ rocket salvo...)?

2. Various weapons display RCTL on the DDI when I enable MAN MODE. This can be modified in the UFC. What is it and what does it do?

3. Following the Unguided Bombs Delivery instructions from the manual I often (always?) get DUD on the HUD. Unfortunately, I found no explanation what is means (apart from the obvious meaning of the word) or why it appears. The bombs detonate as normal.

4. In the CCRP unguided bomb delivery MODE (or AUTO as named in the Hornet) I place the Target Designator on the ground and I'm able to move it with the hat switch on the Throttle. However, the precision of this movement leaves a lot to wish for. I'm aware that this is a very primitive method of designating a spot on the ground but is it supposed to be so imprecise, e.g. trying to tweak the designator's position within enemy ground formation with a single hat switch tap usually moves the designator outside of the formation. Also, the designator seems to drift off from the initial spot as time goes. Please, confirm if this is working as intended.

5. Last one is not really Hornet related but I might just get away with it.. ;) I was watching a reply of my landing in Lar AFB using the "Airport Camera" view (F12?) and zoomed in on my aircraft with "Right CTRL *". However, to keep my plane in sight I had to manually move the mouse which made me lose track a couple of times. Is there a way to have my aircraft centered in this view so that I can smoothly watch my landings?

Thank you for reading!

Never say never, Baby!

1. I'm not sure it's fully implemented yet but I think in the future you'll be able to program this

2. RCTL stands for Release Control. You can enter release programming into the UFC

3. DUD means that there is no fusing set. On the stores page, select your bombs then use MFUZ button to set the nose or tail fusing. Without a fuse setting, the bomb will not detonate

4. It's not very accurate. It may also be linked to gyro alignment, so ensure your INS is fully aligned before take off.

5. Yes you can padlock to your aircraft. Look up padlock in controls.

4. map it to a ministick if your throttle has one and add curves in the control Setting then the movement of the Cursor becomes much more Precise, works fine for me but of course its not a TGP ;)

I believe what you describe is how it should be. But it does not apply for our Hornet in its current state.

Even without a fusing set, the bombs explode and have an effect on the target. Tried it out last night: Dropped Mk84s on two moored ships in a port with all fuzes OFF. Got the DUD cue, dropped in CCIP nevertheless and sunk both of them. Nice fireworks

2. RTCL is the Reticle for a manual bomb release and it is a number in mils from the aircraft boresight to where the manual bombsight will be displayed. It will vary based on altitude, airspeed and dive angle. I believe 270 mils will be the highest setting and should but it at the bottom of the HUD.

1. Yes you can via the mission editor.

4. He is talking about the way the symbol moves on the hud- which is indeed hard to use
