Thanks for the answer. I also use a C49HG90 32:9 Monitor 50cm in front of My eyes for perfect Simracing use. The Question is, if PointCtrl will work on my Motionsimulator with not mutch Space in the Cockpit. I'm Playing around with Leap Motion these days for Cockpit Controls, but this is not easy to Setup with the Reverb...

I have no real issues with point control and the reverb. You do have to calibrate it though.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

Your right, but I somehow screwed up the last firmware release, and it was taking more time to figure out the last good version, or fix the current one. I should have it done in a few days, I will probably let the documentation slide a bit because the Audio Assist Interface can take the place of most of it.

Thanks,

Miles

Miles, my number has come up and I’ve sent several emails as instructed but have received no reply. I sent the emails to orders@pointctrl.com. Is this correct?

Thanks!

Hey Wicked,

I just checked the orders@pointctrl.com and didn't see your call-sign. I will try and cross reference in case you did not include it. But, Carol or I may have just missed it.

Edit: We got you, I was looking for your call sign in the subject. Just sent email.

Miles

Hi Miles

I've just bought another Headset. I've bought an HP Reverb. The PointCTRL kit I bought was for the Oculus Rift S. WHat would I need to use PointCtL with the HP reverb? ANd how much will it cost?

You need nothing but some double-sided adhesive tape.

I switched from Rift S to Reverb without any problems. I didn't do a recalibration. But I think after a recalibration it will even work a little bit better. :pilotfly:

DEVICES: ASUS 27" LCD | TrackIR 5 | LukeClip | Quest 3 | PointCTRL | Virpil HOTAS | MFG Crosswind | TableMount MonsterTech

MODULES: To much to list. But I stopped buying more, because of too much bugs in e.g. A-10C(II). @ED: Fix the bugs and I spend money on modules again. Promised.

Important Update:

The last batch shipped with the new firmware for the Audio Assist. That's why you were getting the funky cursor movements that did not correspond to the instructions.

pointctrl.com also had some bugged firmware on it, causing the cursors to flash as when they went off screen. It was an unintended consequence of the cursor smoothing. I put the last working version back up, I am unsure if it has the cursor smoothing, but later today's update with the Alpha release of the Voice Assist will have it.

Hot Fix https://pointctrl.com/firmware/

Thanks,

Miles

HUUUUGE Update: At least it is for me. I finally got a Alpha version of the GUI up. Its on the PointCTRL webset now.

https://pointctrl.com/firmware// Its still very much a work in progress with content still to add. Please let me know any issues or suggestions.

Thanks, and I hope this helps the first time users.

Production is starting again tomorrow, I just felt I really needed to do this, not only for the new users, but I am sure there are a few current users still struggling with things.

Thanks,

Miles

I love huge updates! I love pointctrl in general. Works beautifully with the JF-17 in VR. Can't wait to try the new voice assisst setup. Still having trouble reaching switches in the far back and the bottom of the screen. Still, cannot go back flying without it.

Thanks again MilesD you revolutionized the experience!

It should be native 1920x1080, Thud had the issue when he started it on a portrait monitor, but was able to resize. I think he went max windo

w then resized. I am checking window settings now.

Hey Kirin,

I am working on the limited vertical cursor movement that only seems to appear with a combination of a higher res HMD and a lower vertical res monitor. Whats your set-up?

But I an glad to hear you are enjoying it,

Thanks,

Miles

Yep, That what I am working on with the Reverb, trying to get the cursor to top and bottom 20% of your FOV. If you slide your standard mouse across your desktop, you will see it shift more towards the vertical center as it transitions to the DCS window from the desktop.

Please ignore me if I said that a few post ago.

@Reverb: For the testing I disabled the cursor confinement to the game window. The mouse cursor seems to be staying at the same relative position of confinments in VR, e.g. the maximum borders I can reach with the blue cross cursor. As you said the blue cross cursor cannot reach the top and bottom 20% of the vertical limit. So if I go to the top of that virtual confinment and exit the side of the gaming window the cursor will be at the top of the desktop window. So it actually jumps away from the vertical center. When I leave the gaming window at the center of that virtual confinment it will stay at the center of the desktop.

A similar effect is also seen in the title screen where the virtual cursor confinment is the actual options window. I can move the mouse to the top of that options window but not beyond it altthough the vertical FOV covers more, e.g. I see the hangar above and below the window. If I exit the options window while having the cursor at the top of it it will appear at the top of the desktop screen.

I hope this makes sense.

@voice assist: It's a real help and makes the calibrating process so much easier as you don't have to remember all the clues the different cursor movement give you. Especially as new ones get introduced or changed. It worked really well. Can't wait to have the full functionality with explanations for edge calibration and zoom.

Hey Kirin,

Your spot on with the reverb issues, I am trying to come up with a solution, other than buying a 4K monitor. I cleaned up Voice Assist a lot tonight, especially all those flashing dots that are supposed to represent where you were. And the menu selection go a lot quicker. I will put up it up tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback.

What did you say your monitor res was?
