nazghool Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 (edited) ok so i posted in the main 2.5 dcs bugs thread aswell but this part i feel more belongs here but ; i can nolonger start my harrier ?? the engine start switch doesnt actually start it anymore it gives out the spooling up sound for like a second then cuts out ... nothing on the rpm cockpit indicator... and b4 anyone asks yes batt, gen, apu, fuel cut off valves , l+r pumps ,decs master caution click done .. not first time starting her up only started after the latest update i was flying around and starting up earlier ? EDIT: ok also the rain effects on the canopy have completely gone from the harrier but just checked they still on the f18 Edited August 29, 2018 by nazghool

Hit that before the engine start switch.
nazghool Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 Cant actually change any my bindings at the moment cause the vr bug which crashes the game ... but everytime ive started it ive pressed the engine start switch waited till a certain rpm then pushed my throttle forward slightly always kicks in but i dont even get off of 000 rpm on the gauge ... incase it was a visual error i did push throttle , but to no luck , even unlocked parking brake and full throttled it still nadda. Its like i got a faulty engine start switch.. razbam how real are u making this thing ?? :megalol::megalol:

nazghool Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 ah thanks that works:thumbup::thumbup: weirdly never had to do that b4 did something change in the last patch ?? b4 after flipping start engine switch the rpm would increase then when it hits a certain amount push forward on throttle , but now i have to engine switch , cut off throttle then push forward slightly for it to increase till it hits a certain amount ... its totally vice versa now for me :huh: anyway do i just click it once then leave it up now? except on shut down ofc.

You can click it whenever you want except for in flight. It just puts the throttle below idle detent. It wont start if it's in the idle position. This can happen if you accidentally move your throttle before startup. You also use it to shut the engine down. I usually make sure throttle is in cuttoff during my pre-start checks.

It used to start engaged by default and now it doesn't. So before you could reset your throttle without actually moving the in game throttle because of the parking break, now if you reset your throttle before startup you move the throttle and take it out of idle cutoff because the parking break isn't on.
