Haven't seen that myself (ramp start using ground power) in Open Beta 2.5.3.21107 - I noticed the afterburner reflected in the VTB durring takeoff but it's a while since I've flown the M-2000C, so don't know if it's a new bug.

If you still have starting issues, please post a track file ?

Note: IIRC the engine won't start if the throttle is moved out of 'idle cutoff' before RPM reached 10% or if the ignition switch is set to 'vent'

I flew it / started it last night in 2.5.3 with hotfix, no problem here - didnt use ground power.

Afterburner in VTB is an oldie, been there for a while

That. Had the same problem yesterday. Throttle wasn`t in Idle cutoff, so engine did spool up and then stopped. Took me some seconds to find out why it wouldn't start. Check your throttle and that it is in its cutoff-position (LShift + End).
