ElCuco68 Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 I'm not sure this is the best place for this, but it doesn't look like anyone goes into the TM threads very often, and I could really use a quick answer. I'll delete this after. Anyway, I bought a used TM Warthog stick on eBay for $125, but it's missing a thumb button, and also it came dissasembled from the base plate, and doesn't look like it wants to go back together. For some reason, the threaded standoffs are not in the gimbal anymore, and they're not going back in, even when I try to tap them back in. What am I doing wrong? Brewnix Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 What do the holes on the base of the stick look like? those look like the screw in center and the smooth bore outer supposed to be mounted in to the base. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ElCuco68 Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 Well, I managed to fix the base, but now I find out that the only button that works is the trigger, and when i pull it, it activates all 19 buttons! 0414 Wee Neal Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Have you set up the controller in the Microsoft devices and printers and done a calibration? Brewnix Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Maybe a wire is loose, have you checked connection between the stick and base the plugs inside the base connected to the PCB. I think when I was building my EXT for my warthog I missed a crimp on the Dupont connector I used or a wire broke I got the all buttons flashing. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Happens when a wire is loose inside. dburne Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 I would be contacting that seller unless he disclosed that in the sale of the product. ElCuco68 Posted September 18, 2018 Author Posted September 18, 2018 Well, I opened it up, and couldn't find any loose wires, and nothing I did had any impact on the problem. I was able to clean up the gimbal & apply new grease, which made it much smoother. The seller said that if I decided to keep it (I mentioned that I might be able to use the grip with a Virpil or FSSB base), he could give me most of my money back, which means I would get it for $60. What do you think? I'm wondering how I can figure out if I could still use the grip with a Mongoose base (or their other base, which seems to be currently available). =Panther= Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Check the connector between stick and base, sounds like one is loose or maybe a pin is bent or missing. Although that usually causes the stick to go into boot mode (appears to be bricked) if that happens.
