Todd1215 Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Hi ED, Are we going to be getting a pilot body as part of the planned refurbishment later this year? There is already a pilot body there. Do you not see it when you free look? I know I see it... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 MB: B450M Pro4 RAM: 16Gb DDR4 SSD: 500GB GPU: MSI GTX 1070 8GB
Crash * Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 I know what he means. When you are IN the Cockpit the seat is empty. No pilot legs and arms. An immersion killer in my opinion. Exactly! Almost all other modules have an in cockpit pilot body (I think the mig-21 and viggen are the only other two without). Pretty essential for immersion in VR. Precog Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 I love the A10, but it could be updated with a pilot body and fix for cockpit/HUD scaling issues. Check out my 'real world' video series [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
toutenglisse Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Bump. With coming A10c upgrade is the pilot body in F1 view planned ? If no can it be considered ?
rrohde Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 +1 There's no reason why ED shouldn't add the pilot body. Void78 Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Sure,I am surprised it has not been done by now. I personally don't use pilot body's in my pits because they obstruct some switches more often than not. P.S:If its up to me(good thing its not) i would add female pilot with big bazunkabongs. JK
Harlikwin Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Yes please along with the other modules  New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. Harlikwin Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 ...and a properly scaled HUD in VR :):thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. sc_neo Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I like the idea of a pilotbody...but in the modules that have that, i seldom turn it one for it doesn not properly move and shift around depending on where your are looking thus blocking view to the consoles and instruments. If we'd get an animated pilotbody....i'd be all for it!
lobo Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I do not use the pilot body for the simple reason it restricts too much of the cockpit. Particularly the pilots left arm. In RL you would simply move your arm, in the sim... no can do. rrohde Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I do not use the pilot body for the simple reason it restricts too much of the cockpit. Particularly the pilots left arm. In RL you would simply move your arm, in the sim... no can do. That's why the pilot body can be toggled off for all planes for those who don't want it from within the DCS menu. I also tend to turn pilots off on the fly with a mapped button press in case I need access to a panel really quick - no big deal.
