USA_Recon Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 IMO, DCS should offer more trial periods. Let people download the game and tryout each aircraft for 3-5 days. ie. once you open a module, it starts your trial It only helps DCS IMO, I know I was on the fence with the Hornet, and with this free trial, I am definitely wanting to buy it when the special comes out.
BlacleyCole Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Imo they should do it prior to a aircraft or4 map being released or give 30 day trails before having to buy any mod. Other than maps I might not have bought all the mods I have, which is all . After a certain point I became a collector of mods since besides nttr and pg maps and the huey I don’t think other than downloading some mods I don’t think I’ve even went in ‘to the cockpit. I’ve tried a couple of the campaigns I mainly bought them for two reasons to learn from them both in the cockpit and in the mission editor then I learned to can’t pull up the triggers so that didn’t work. That sounds like a reason for them not to do it - you wouldn't have bought the modules by the sounds of it!
cercata Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 i think this was a bad precedent. I bought modules I wasn't planning to buy ... If everyone did like me, I think they'll do many more !!!
Evoman Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 If they started to do more test flys before you buy trials I think more modules would sell more. There are a lot of people out there might not even consider a certain module because they are simply unfamiliar with it. That happened to me with the Viggen. It was not after I had seen a few reviews that it started to appeal to me. So next time it went on sale I took a chance on it and love it now. But there are a a lot of people out there that might not take chance.
