It´s possible to have a pre D day mission or a D day mission? When Allies don´t have airfields on France yet.

And Its possible to remove the amount fuel option to all players...i don´t think is realistic that someone can takeoff with less than 100% of fuel.

I do plan to test a "pre D-day" mission at some point.

Requiring 100% fuel is not possible in DCS. In fact, it's not desirable either. We should not force P51s and P47s to carry 6 hours of fuel. That is not realistic at all.

Good to know about a plan for a pre D-day.

I understand...6 hours of fuel its a lot.👍

Thanks!

Hey @philstyle,

Is the take-off assistance on (by accident, perhaps) the (excellent) SoW server? I can see my Dora shifting its pedals during take-off without any input, and this doesn't happen during SP (and double checked before joining the server that the TO assistance is off in my game settings). According to this thread, it can be enabled / forced via server settings:

Cheers!

So, I've been through the server settings this morning. I see no reference to trimmer or auto trimmer in any of the config settings.
The auto-rudders are enabled in module specific settings and there are no aircraft modules installed on the server. So it's not that either.

The only remaining possibility is that somehow the auto-rudder or auto-trimmer is being inserted into the mission files themselves, rather than the server settings. It will take more time to work out what might be going on with this.

@philstyle

Thanks for checking!

I think it could be the mission file (as this seems to be possible according to the discussion linked above). Today in a different mission the TO assistance seemed to be off. Yesterday it was the June 10 Afternoon mission where I noticed this, so that might help to narrow it down a bit.

Oh, and @philstyle, one more request: Would it be possible to get a sound notification (ping or something) associated with the radar contact report. I've noticed that they are easy to miss while on VR and looking for contacts, as they are not centred on the screen. 🙂

Thanks for keeping the server going as long as it has, Phil! 🙂
It's really awesome seeing it near the top of the most populated servers list on a semi-regular basis

A "pre D-day" mission would be pretty cool.  I've only tried out your server a couple times so far but love it.  Very fun.  Haven't flown the warbirds in a long time but am trying to get back into them.

For escort missions is there a schedule at all so you can select an airfield in the UK and escort the bombers the whole way?

Or just keep an eye out with the radar?

There isn't a schedule. If there was, interceptor players would just bee-line it for the spawn location and get there before escorts can organize.
You just have to wait for a notification and escort request to pop up.

Today for example, 10 minutes ago, I killed a D9 but didn't register anything in the score.

Statistics do not instantly appear on the website. They are only processed at the end of each mission, and even then, there are some additional delays for various reasons. There is an explanation here:   https://stormofwar.info/about.php#delay

Sure, I know it. But I'm talking about that I don't see the kill in the score screen and then when I see that the statistics are updated (from the flying hours number) they aren't still present. 👍

If you are referring to the in-game score card... this is a bit odd and doesn't record (or sometimes over records) kills. Instead, SoW uses SlMod to do it's statistics handling. It is much better, although there are still occasionally anomalies. In any case, I had a look at the archive. Seems okay... your kill count went up one today, around the time that you first posted, so that makes sense. https://stormofwar.info/pilot_T+nH1Y3+.php
