STe79ITA Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 Hello everyone, I am experiencing this thing, and i don't know why. Once i trapped a cable, the hook remain in the up position, regardless of the hook lever pulled down so i cant get free from the cable. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
David OC Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 As you land you go full throttle, after you have stopped by a cable, bring the throttle to idle. You will be then pulled back a little by the cable retracting. Once you get pulled back, then put the hook into the up position. You can then drive away. Important not to use the brakes after landing, until the cable pulls you back a bit. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. =Panther= Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 What David_OC said. Also verify that your toebrakes are not working backwards. Bring up the controls overlay RCTRL+ENTER and look for any unwanted input. storemaster Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 i had the same issues. today, after that long time i figured out that my toe brakes were not at 0 without pressing. ctrl+enter finally showed it to me. was playing around with axis curves in dcs and all is fine now. landed 4 times in a row on the carrier without any getting the hook trapped Intel i7-9700K @4.7 Ghz ° Win 11 64bit Pro ° 32Gb DDR4 3000mhz ° 1Gb Samsung 970 Evo plus Nvme M.2 ° RTX 2070 super ° Virpil WarBrd and Constellation Stick & TM Warthog Throttle ° TM pedals ° 5120x1440 samsung 49" monitor
backspace340 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 This only happens if you brake after landing - so make sure your brakes are off.
patpatpowercat Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Not sure this is a bug actually. I have had this happen once, and it was when I moved forward against the cable, thus trapping it on the hook as would actually happen in real life. Otherwise just wait, as cable pulls you back a bit, hook up.
storemaster Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 i still think it is not a bug but a miscalibration of the brake-axis ; so it was at least on my side Intel i7-9700K @4.7 Ghz ° Win 11 64bit Pro ° 32Gb DDR4 3000mhz ° 1Gb Samsung 970 Evo plus Nvme M.2 ° RTX 2070 super ° Virpil WarBrd and Constellation Stick & TM Warthog Throttle ° TM pedals ° 5120x1440 samsung 49" monitor
