Blind Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 The colour codes are wrong: Speed ok, GREEN center light Speed low: RED (lower nose) upper light Speed too high: AMBER (raise nose) lower light
lbellouny Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 They’re correct for USN fixed wing aviation platforms. Think of it as Green for high, because you’re fast, and not going to slam into the boat; Orange/yellow for on speed because you are within the narrow margin of safety; red because you’re low, and about to die. Blind Posted October 10, 2018 Author Posted October 10, 2018 You better check this with a professional Navy pilot... i.m.o it is a standard approach indexer used by US fighers. I have flown the (US) F5 for a few years...same system. Have fun!

I have flown the (US) F5 for a few years...same system. Have fun! It's different between the USAF and USN - they have professional Navy pilots advising them (and lots of them have made videos flying the DCS Hornet and none have pointed out such a glaring flaw - because it isn't one). It was discussed previously: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=214556
