fael097 Posted October 15, 2018 Share Posted October 15, 2018 Hi, I installed dcs 2.5 and the warthog into my hdd cause my ssd is kinda full. What I found to reduce them was to load the free flight mission and fly around before loading up a mission. A complicated mission will produce stutters regardless. Once I installed on a SSD My stutters we’re gone. Will never play DCS on a HDD. I run a 1080 in vr. i8700 16 gigs 2333 ram 16g Intel optima Most of my settings in be are on high I maintain no less than 45 FPS Usually 90 unless there’s a lot of action going on Not in VR I run well over a hundred frames with the same settings I use in vr Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fael097 Posted November 1, 2018 Author Share Posted November 1, 2018 I tried a few settings and always ended up having stutters, so I moved on and bought a nvme ssd after all. no stutters anymore at all. my vr settings must be about the same as yours, I set them so I never get less than 45 fps. rinao0o Posted November 5, 2018 Share Posted November 5, 2018 Before going into a mission try to get the map loaded into ram as much as possible by starting a custom mission first. It won’t solve everything but having a 16+g ram helps. Although honestly you should just buy a new SSD dedicated for DCS, 256G SSD aren’t that expensive these days.
