Nospin44
What are the protocols for landing a damaged Hornet onto the carrier? I have seen in videos how they raise up the safety net (which would be awesome if it was modelled in DCS someday?) But what is the general protocol? Do you just perform a CASE-3 recovery with the net up? Or is there something more specific? First clip in this video shows the net I'm talking about. https://youtu.be/9q2LWwX8iFk
JayBird
The net you're speaking of is simply called a barrier, as far as procedures I don't know of anything specific, however I'd imagine its as simple as get the jet and pilot on deck in whatever means necessary. You can read more about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arresting_gear#Barricade Or watch the full video of the A-6 here: F-14 | F/A-18C | F-16C | AJS-37 | M-2000C | A-10C | UH-1H | F-5E | P-51 | Bf 109 Nevada | Persian Gulf | Normandy | Supercarrier YouTube | Steam | Discord: JayBird#4400 i7-7700K | GTX 980 | 32gb RAM | 500gb SSD | 2TB HDD| Track IR | TM Warthog HOTAS | Logitech Pro Pedals
