TIP: how to assign two Hornet MFDs to one Thrustmaster MFD

Of course it's better to have three separate MFD controllers, but Thrustmaster Cougar MFD set contains only two pieces, and besides, three MFD's take a considerable amount of space on the desk.

Fortunately it's possible to create assignments so that you can switch between controlling one of the MFD's with a press of a single button.

First go to modifiers menu and add a new Switch (Right column). I use button 24 on one of the MFDs, which is one of the extra rocker switches that don't exist in the Hornet.

Map the two MFD's as usual. Then map the third MFD (AMPCD in this case) using a combo with the switch button created in step one.

And that's it. Press the switch button, and you're controlling AMPCD. Press it again, and you're back to control one of the other MFD's in the cockpit.

I find it quite useful in practice, although you have to remember which MFD you're currently controlling. An extension of this idea would be to make similar thing using TARGET script instead of DCS modifier menu and map different buttons to switch between MFD's, or one of the toggles.
