Legendofdino
Hi guys, I’m looking to add some refined touches to my missions to include random naval aviation radio chatter to sprinkle in throughout. Also I’m interested if there’s a way to record my voice and others in such way that when they playback it sounds as if they’re coming through a radio? Thanks so much! dmatsch
I just read about a bunch of radio static filters as a plug-in for Audacity. I was also thinking of just downloading some random radio chatter from youtube and adding those as background. I've found that it's not just as simple as recording someone reading from a script. If you listen to real air communications, they have they're own special cadence that's kind of hard to match from voice actors. Luck to you. Habu_69
Nice little inexpensive payware program Goldwave has a robust set of sound manipulation features. Primarily what you need is high/low band filter to reduce fidelity to about 800 to 1800 freq range. That reduces volume, tho, so you need to boost it back up. Goldwave also allows mixing in radio static, background noise, etc.
