If you really want that behavior and have some kind of joystick programming software it can be done since all of the positions are directly addressable. Good idea! :) I've divided the axis into nine zones but I could easily delete a further two (I don't think the GROM will even sit on pylons 3/4 so that can probably go). You're right it's a bit strange in practice, and my palm has a tendency to rest on the knob I'm using, but it works well - I'll see how it goes.
