Wolf8312
Wow. Only played 15 minutes but seems vastly improved now, no more prop artifacts in my spitfire, seems like we now have very smooth gameplay without all the graphical corruption. Looks like a big step forward for VR. ------------ 3080Ti, i5- 13600k 32GB VIVE index, VKB peddals, HOTAS VPC MONGOOSE, WARTHOG throttle, BKicker,

Wolf8312
Ah spoke to soon for some reason works fine in the caucasus but is still bad in normandy! Maybe it was just a fluke! Wolf8312
Hum works fine on persian gulf only seems bad in normandy, will try vegas next! Yup fine on vegas too. There are always little jiggles on the others apart from Normandy, but its so infrequent it's acceptable and can just be role played as a slight optical illusion in the heat of battle. But normandy I dont know why but the propeller artifacts are constant and distracting. rrohde
Normandy is a 3rd party map - which might not have received the same level of optimization (and likely doesn't have SpeedTree tech) as ED maps have. sirrah
Motion smoothing is in steam Do we have to manually download/install anything? Or is this automatically done when starting dcs on Steam? Ah well then it is good news. A large portion of the game can reap the benefits of motion smoothing, and they are significant benefits! Damned shame though cause aside from the horribly garrish trees close to the ground the normandy map is the man for WW2 obviously! Wolf8312
Do we have to manually download/install anything? Or is this automatically done when starting dcs on Steam? You need to opt into the beta in steam VR. I'm not sure if it works on the rift as well, or if this is exclusively VIVE technology, so you may or may not need a VIVE. ------------ 3080Ti, i5- 13600k 32GB VIVE index, VKB peddals, HOTAS VPC MONGOOSE, WARTHOG throttle, BKicker,

I'm not sure if it works on the rift as well, or if this is exclusively VIVE technology, so you may or may not need a VIVE. Just checked and it seems this is the Vive equivalent for ASW (for the Rift). Although I can't find if the Rift will use this when disabling asw (as asw just has to many poor side effects in dcs). Also noted that motion smoothing will only work on nVidia gpu systems at the moment. etherbattx
Motion smoothing update! the rift asw works by blending frames. if this doesn’t blend, how does it work? does it skip a frame to catch up?
