Seems like one of the first questions real world F18 pilots ask when trying out the F18 in DCS: "Is there an auto-throttle?"

I'm assuming that it adjusts throttle to maintain a speed when the button is pressed. This sure would be handy for carrier landings.

Is it in the pipes?

He knew there is an auto throttle, he didn't know how it was mapped in that pit. Not sure why he had the controls setup like they were? Even the air brake was set backwards lol.

The ATC for Landing is still WIP. It works differently when in landing config, the throttle holds on speed and you keep height / glide slope with the stick. Whole different set of control logic is needed.

Yeah that seemed like a weird mapping. Jello from FPP noted a lack of auto-throttle when flying with Wags as well. Seems like they really use it a lot.

Auto-throttle works fine for me. Was using it last night.

Not on landing though.
