blackvette702 Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I just purchased the A-10C and downloaded a profile for my TM1600 HOTAS. Where do I put the HOTAS files?
David OC Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Hi blackvette702, It depends, is it a DCS controller profile or does it use thrustmaster target software? I know little about the target software, it could be better to post a link to the profile you downloaded, so the guy's here can help you. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. blackvette702 Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 OK, I'll try and find the link.
blackvette702 Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 I couldn't find the link again. The two files in the zip files are: A10C_T16k_joy.diff.lua & A10C_T16k_thr.diff.lua. Any idea where I need to put them?
David OC Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 (edited) Found it. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2829162/ The files are not really needed, just set it up like the picture in DCS options. I would even print this and write on it, so you can make changes to it if you want to and it helps when learning a setup. The assignments with the (DOT) next to it means (With modifier key held down) Example: China aft = Normal button (With modifier held down + Button = Air brake extend) You need to add this modifier key to DCS See this here on steam, then go to the modifier section using the index to learn how. You can add many more extra keys than this profile has if you wish to. Example I added the 3 auto pilot settings to my CH HOTAS. So, once you have setup the "modifier key" assigning keys are the same way as normally do, except you tell DCS that this is with the modifier key + button. This doubles the amount of usable buttons on your controls.
