whartsell
I have been revisiting the Viggen and was flying some training sorties. I have noticed that i never get mode 5 in ternav even though im within parameters (less than 500m and flight pan fixed). It is typically showing 0 and occasionally 2 or 3 but never 5. So i rolled back to stable 2.5.3.23225 and presto its working just fine and as expected. Im going to revisit the other patches and see which one it broke in EDIT: It appears that it was broke in DCS 2.5.3.23954 and up Edited November 29, 2018 by whartsell Arduino,EOS and Helios Tutorial Static ATC menu mod
randomTOTEN
Same. I also display 0 in flight when the TERNAV system is on. Shouldn't it be at 2 as the lowest setting?
TOViper
+1 Noticed that during red flag campaign recently, and on Caucasus as well! I can turn it OFF by using 581, and turn it ON by using 580, but if its ON it does the thing described above. Floydii
+1 I'm not seeing 5 at all now. Do we have to turn TERNAV on as part of start-up now?
corvinus
TERNAV is on by default. It does not get beyond mode 2 (rough search) or 3 (fine search). In NAV mode it should go to mode 5 (position determined and sending fixes), but that never happened. You can turn off TERNAV now (TAKT/IN 581). However turning off the radar altimeter does not cause TERNAV you jump to mode 0 (inoperable), which is what I would have expected.

Apache600
Anyone still experiencing this? Did some Viggen action online tonight and couldn't get it out of "1". I went TAKT "581" to turn it off ("0"). That worked, but then with TAKT "580" and "581" I couldn't get it back on. LastRifleRound
The original report was from the open beta, which has since been merged with stable about a month or two ago. I can confirm TERNAV functions properly in stable.
