Is VR worth it in DCS?

Hell Yeah!!!! It's awesome. I built my pc especially for both DCS and vive VR.

For the month between building my pc and getting my VR was flying via 50" screen which looked great but when i switched to VR I found my flying got better. You just got the feel of the aircraft, and spot checks were so much easier too.

Yes there is a resolution loss but on the vive pro it may be better at 2880 compared to the standard vive at 1080 which i got.

So Yeah go for it I just love it.

I think you'll find yours is 1080 per eye and the pro is 1440 per eye horizontal res. :)

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

The positives of vr far out way the negatives.

I will never go back to a monitor for flying sims.

Absolutely! I updated my GPU last night and part of the process I had to disable VR, I though well I haven't flown on a screen for nearly 2 years. It was an horrible experience I actually had difficulty picking the Gazelle up and setting it down. I mean I can do loops and rolls in that thing but could hardly hover let alone fly it in 2D. :D

I think you meant Pro is 1440.

Vive is 2x1080x1200 and Vive Pro is 2x1440x1600. 80% increase in pixels.
