I've just released version 0.6.0. You can see the changes and get it here: https://github.com/rkusa/dcs-scratchpad/releases/tag/0.6.0

Changes in a nutshell:

- A lot of fine-tuning of the coordinate format for various aircrafts
- Optional config to add shortcuts for changing the page and inserting coordinates
- Some minor UX improvements

A lot of changes came from other contributors (mentioned in the detailed changelog). Thanks to everyone who got involved!

Those are some excellent updates; especially the resetting the window to default if it gets moved outside the VR view; been wishing for this for a long time.

Looks good, however, and excuse me for being dumb here, I have a working version with a virtual keypad already, but this doesn't have it - unless I've missed something - so how do you work this in VR?

If you mean, how do I use SP in-game in VR when I can't see the keyboard, I can type blind--ten fingers system, IF I have to write anything, which generally you don't--but it can be useful--that is the way to go. Very useful in life in general.

Great for you blind typing, but not many people have that skill!

I know it’s been discussed several times in this thread, but why can’t the virtual keyboard be incorporated in all the versions here?

The one I use with virtual keyboard works a treat.

I have been able to touch type for over 40 years, however, I don't game at my desk, so getting the keyboard and putting it on my lap to type is actually a tougher challenge than touch typing... An in scratchpad keypad would be ideal

Stuart, the version of this mod I use does have an in-scratchpad keyboard.

Yep Iain unfortunately it does not support the more recent aircraft types, like the 64... But the author has asserted he does not want to support the keyboard 😢

Why would he not want to support it? I'm sure a few pages back he was saying the opposite.

I don't have a use for it myself, so I am not willing to invest the time necessary to maintain it. However, I proposed to extend the Scratchpad in a way that it can be extended with plugins. This way, someone else could create and maintain the keyboard as a plugin. I am still open to that.

I've created a proof of concept for extensions, which should make it fairly simple to add new buttons to the Scratchpad (way simpler than my first take on that topic). More details are available here: https://github.com/rkusa/dcs-scratchpad/pull/35

If you want to try it out, you can download it at: https://github.com/rkusa/dcs-scratchpad/archive/refs/heads/extensions.zip

The following screenshot shows some example extensions:

Since the question will come up, I am not planing to create a full keyboard - I'll leave that up to the community.

that does everything I need for now!  many thanks!!

This is great! Thanks a lot for your time.  One little thing, why the change from 'E' to 'O' on the keypad?

thanks also backspace does not seem to work.

Hmm, works OK for me.

What would be really nice is a show/hide button for the keypad/extensions. One like the check box for L/L.

Ok, yep, there are some weird things going on with backspace.

An example, type in 123. If you select it by double clicking and press backspace it gets deleted. If you select it by dragging the cursor over and then press backspace, it copies and pastes in the 123.

Also, if you put the cursor inside any L/L coords and press backspace, then the character before the one you want to delete gets deleted.  Weird things going on with spaces as well.

Strange. So, on a clear scratchpad, if you type 123 then hit backspace, nothing happens?

OK sometimes it seems to work when i do 123 it seems to work ... suffice to say it's inconsistent

if you delete the first line then it copies and pastes anything beneath it, it just happens to be the sit rep when i was using it (I guess there is a stack overflow?  maybe?)

i think the issue or one of them is if you hybrid the use of keyboard/mouse and scratchpad , the index doesn't get updated and so strangeness ensues
