SandMan23 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 There doesn't appear to be an on / off switch for counter measures in the Harrier. The counter measures continue to release even with the Exp switch to off. I realize Auto, etc determine which dispenser to use, but I would think off is off for countermeasures. Unless I am uninformed on the use of this switch.
Zeus67 Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Bug fixed "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
Captain Orso Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Bug fixed Heyyyyy +1 ..... a propose (sorry  ) I've noticed, while running up from cold start, when turning Exp to Auto, I hear a dispenser firing. I haven't really searched for what and where, but I'll get back with more info. When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. DmitriKozlowsky Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 No , thus bug has not been fixed. On ground, with countermeasures OFF, aircraft still releases chaff and flares. Assuming you have ground power or engine has been started. Generator ON. Set Countermeasures Vol to middle Set Countermeasures release option to OFF If carrying ALQ-164 DECM, put into STBY or OFF Press countermeasures release on HOTAS of via kbd . With weight on wheels, and settings as above, the system will release chaff and flares.

Moving it to auto just allowed it to finally release. But if you press it while the system is off then turn it on, you'll get a dispenser release.
