keithBud
For about a week or so, I have been getting a screen stutter or pause when flying about any module. My specs are: Processor AMD Ryzen 7 1700 processor OS Windows 10 Pro 64-bit System Board ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS System Board System Memory 32GB composed of 2- 8192MB DDR4/2133 DIMMS Hard Drive 480GB SATA Solid State Drive Video NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1070 PCI Express / 8GB GDDR5 memory I am also using Track IR5 and TacView. I have updated the video drivers. The attached screenshot is showing a fps of 77. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Try deleting fxo and metashaders files , clean and repair Lock frames to 60 for TrackIr  Delete those folders with each update of DCS and/or your GPU. Can only help TiR works best at locked 60fps, search the forum why, plenty threads available. If you have a 60hz monitor , just check "vsync" in DCS settings . 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
BitMaster
Many ways to lock them, as Svsmokey said via DCS, or via RivaTuner from MSI AFterburner tool, in NV Inspector and prolly some more. Some installs like one or the other method better, you have to try which one your system likes best, I use RivaTuner from within MSI Afterburner tool ( a real mandatory tool for DCS Pilots troubleshooting ) Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
DUSTY
If you have a 60hz monitor , just check "vsync" in DCS settings . I have a 144hz monitor - what should I do in that case? I get epic stuttering and freezing with the hornet but its fine in the Huey... Svsmokey
I JUST learned of another possible cause . It seems that the Win 10 1809 update causes problems with Intel Turbo Boost . I went VR about 10 days ago , and found turning it off solved a stuttering problem .
