planes that you would like to see in DCS?

Recommended Posts

in my life I have never seen a simulator with such a long list of planes and it is impossible to make a complete simulator with all the planes of the world starting from the invention of the first airplane to the last airplane project in our day.

As flyable aircraft, if we get 2 per year, we're lucky, so magine coming up with all the names mentionned in this thread, i'll be at the age dreaming of a flying 4-legs walker :P

+ MIG 17,MiG-21 F-13

P.S:Also(unrelated to Vietnam era) i would like to see my favorite flying brick MIG 25

Same here for all those planes and a Vietnam map. Also I would freaking love a mig31 to fly alongside the tomcat

F-117A because it's an exceptional aircraft witch exceptional capabilities.

I just love post #40. I hope we'll all live long enough until half of that table will be available. :megalol:

I don't know why people start these "Aircraft I want" threads, then proceed to list dozens of planes. The F-18 took how many years? And it's still not working properly months after release.

Also, what's with all the love for the F-117? Yeah, It looks cool and was the first stealth aircraft, but it was slow, held two bombs, and wasn't even that stealthy. I'm pretty sure it couldn't self lase either so would require a ground spotter. It was basically replaced by Tomahawk missiles.

If one of the limited number of decent dev teams out there is going to devote time to a new aircraft I'd rather have something else than a tiny bomb truck!

Understand development of an aircraft in DCS takes time and new aircraft are relatively few and far between. But this is a 'hey I would like to see this aircraft because x,y,z reasons' thread, not a 'I am entitled to what I want and I demand you give me x,y,z aircraft' thread.

But isn't this the wishlist sub-board? And if so, what's wrong with wishlists such as this?

Anyway, my wish is for a complete C-47. Would love to fly in supplies for you reprobates.

PS. Birko, where did the Lab in your avatar piccie go?

The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

+1 for the 'drop some teenagers in the middle of some Germans' experience

PS. I got a lab ticked off my wishlist, so now I'm waiting to tick off a tornado :D

i would like to see a single-seater with proper BVR capability but without fly-by-wire: so a Mig-23, Mig-25...

i can't think of any western jets, that would fit the bill.

additionaly: A-6 (for it's looks, load and interesting avionics), F-117 (simply because of how iconic and interesting (historically) the nighthawk is)

You would be able to shoot it down during the day in the sim by visually identifying it, while it would reign supreme during night time missions with competent players at the controls.

I'm not sure about that. The Yugoslavia F-117 shoot-down happened at 8:15pm, it was identified by radar from 23km away, not visually, and then hit by a 1960's era SAM.

No one is expecting every one of these to be put in the game. People are allowed to want their favorite plane in their favorite game and express that. Anyone on here could nitpick about your favorite airframes capabilities as well. The purpose of these threads is to have a little bit of fun and maybe find some people you share a common interest with.

Nobody likes me because I'm unsafe.

One factor that led to the shoot-down of the F-117A over Yugoslavia was that the NATO aircraft used the same egress path after the bombing missions. The Serbian army had gained this knowledge and just had to position their SAMs along that path. Then the old long-wave radar, maybe opened bay-doors and so on... the F-117A just flew right into a mousetrap. They wouldn't have shot it down under normal conditions. That's why the NATO aircraft changed their egress routes after the shoot-down. This entire story doesn't make the F-117A less capable in my opinion. Probably would have happened to any other aircraft - even one like the F-22. But this is pure speculation. :D

I'm surprised the WW2 people haven't asked for the following so that some re-enactment of the Battle of Britain missions can be created;

Dornier Do-17

Heinkel 111

Junkers Ju-52

and some friendlies to escort

Vickers Wellington

Hadley Page Halifax

Avro Lancaster

Intel i9-9900K processor at 4.60GHz OC

Windows 10, 64 bit

16GB Corsair DDR4 3200 RAM

Asus GeForce RTX 2080, Dual OC 8GB

27" IIyama screen at 2560x1440

Oculus Rift S

Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog

Saitek Combat rudder pedals

Logitech G13 pad

Modern aircraft, F-22, Eurofighter, F-35, Rafale, Gripen, Su-35 etc.

...flaming cliffs style! (because red tape and my wallet)

Heck I'd be happy for AI and 3D models :D
