Boeing 727

C17

KC135

KC10

F4

all flyable of course

I doubt a Boeing 727 would ever come to DCS. But you are definitely on the right track with the tanker variants like the KC-10 and KC-135. There is a bigger chance of those making it to DCS than just a plain civilian airliner. Plus these planes can always be reskined as a DC-10 and Boeing 707.

B-17 with all crew positions or ability to jump into them. Back in the warbirds days, many an hour was spent with 6 -8 Swano Foxes tootling around in a B-17 with almost every position manned.

More early to mid cold war era aircraft. Saab Draken, EE Lightning, F-102, F-105, F-104, F-105, F-4E, F-4J, F9F (for Korea, with wingtanks), Mirage III.

For modern, an upgraded MiG-21 Lancer-C (like the Romanian MiG-21s), and an upgraded F-5 (like the ones the Swiss or Brazilians fly with the refueling probe). Japan's & Greece's F-4's as well.

For WW2, an A6M Zero and a Ki-61.

I have a long Christmas list of planes.
