Tango3B
The MiG-19 seems to use the same engine sounds like the Su-25, will it get its own sounds later? THIS!!! It is a really nice module with great potential and stunning looks but Razbam's choice to use the Su-25 default sound is really bad. If I remember correctly the RD-9Bs (and WP-6s) had an incredibly loud high pitched whining sound to it. Very distinctive. Many many years ago I had the pleasure to see some FT-6s taxi by and the engine noise definitely made a lasting impression. So, please consider giving us a little more immersion, Razbam. CrimsonGhost
Wow, I had not even noticed. Will have to check again but I would have sworn the internal sounds were custom. Maybe it’s a byproduct of using Moltar’s sound mod. i7-7700K @ 5.2Ghz SLI 1080Ti 64GB GSkill Trident Z RGB 4133 Asus Maximus IX Extreme Custom Water Cooling Loop TM Warthog/ MFG Crosswind

Mainstay
Good because this was a serious let down to be honest. Other then that I'm pretty happy.
Malexx
At least the Afterburner should be hearable when in the plane. Sounds like a vacuum cleaner, na more like a big fan. Really like the module but the interior sound ....
Zeus67
The problem is finding reliable sounds that are close to how the original engines sounded. It is a very old aircraft and there are almost no films of it, except for some propaganda that have loud background music. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea." Birko
Sound on this is reasonably decent, especially for taxiing: https://youtu.be/SS17eWi1S74 Although they're probably Chinese-built J-6's and not Russian-built MiG-19's, the sound will of course be more authentic than that of say an Su-25. Schmidtfire
I agree. J-6 is the best bet. Not only Chinese AF, but Pakistan (PAF) also has several videos of it.

It is a very old aircraft and there are almost no films of it, except for some propaganda that have loud background music. I can understand its hard to find original sources for sounds. I, for myself would like to have some kind of afterburner sound inside, even if its just the kick in of the burner( or if there is kickin, make it louder, since I don't hear it). If its not original, I can live with that in regards of better gameplay. Apart from that I enjoy the module. Thanks!
Birko
The more recent Nanchang Q-5 (A-5 for exports) could be of help too.
Basco1
Wow.....That afterburner sound from the video,is really loud, and backs up what I have read about the MiG-19 and it's unique afterburner sound. The afterburner really has a character sound to it,and it is really......LOUD !!!!
