Installation
1. Extract in 'Saved Games\mods\tech' folder or use OvGME

2. Add the following files (from your old DCS 2.5x installation) to Saved Games\mods\tech\Project 775 Ropucha Class 1.0.1\Shapes

- BDK_775_LOD0.EDM
- BDK_775_LOD1.EDM
- BDK_775_LOD2.EDM
- BDK_775_LOD3.EDM
    
3. Add the following files (from your old DCS 2.5x installation) to Saved Games\mods\tech\Project 775 Ropucha Class 1.0.1\Textures    

- BDK_Back_basecolor.dds
- BDK_Back_basecolor_RoughMet.dds
- BDK_Back_Normal.dds
- BDK_Centre_basecolor.dds
- BDK_Centre_basecolor_RoughMet.dds
- BDK_Centre_Normal.dds
- BDK_Chains_basecolor.dds
- BDK_Chains_basecolor_RiughMet.dds
- BDK_Chains_Normal.dds
- BDK_Damage.dds
- BDK_Damage_map.dds
- BDK_DmgInterior_Basecolor.dds
- BDK_DmgInterior_Basecolor_Roughmet.dds

4. Check the included Demo mission (in folder missions) to learn how to use the bow door!

Known issues
- AK-725 guns doesn't move visually (had to disable the movement since the ED model animations are backwards)
- FCR won't turn correctly towards the target due to incorrect animations in the model)
- The forward radar won't turn because of model issues
- Ships won't fire antiship missiles since they classify this ship as a light armed ship, aircraft will fire antiship missiles towards it though

Now @currenthillhas made abundantly clear I'm not to host his mods so I won't.  But deeply grateful for his fixes!

I try to keep my work in as few places as possible, so that when I update, there aren't a lot of rogue links with old versions running around. 👍🏻

Well @currenthill I had a quick test in the Rook.

Damage model pretty good.

But never got fired at.  Not even a RWR coming on.

That said, one can get the files you need from https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319459/ and some searches of your own build.

It's not a bug, but a feature. 😅

I chose to configure the guns for surface targets only since it's a 50s gun with rather poor performance against fast moving things. And on top of that, since we can't animate the guns correctly I wanted to hide the firing in a cloud of smoke, which only the surface artillery gun mode will allow me to do. In real life, a landing ship like this would never have to defend itself from air targets, that's what the escort ships are all about. And they tend to have a lot of suitable weapons. But in the rare case they would have to, they had Strelas/Iglas onboard, which we unfortunately can't model in an acceptable fashion, since we don't have the source model. 

But we could fake a MTU 4 launcher if we want. 😁

In regards to the damage rate, I have it set pretty high, always thought these were built like a brick. But there is no problem lowering it if we feel it's too high at the moment. I had a Su-25 take it out of commission with four S-25L. And it needed around four Kh-31A. But it only took 1 x RBS 15.

@Urbi you missed CVN_74_BANO_01.tga, light_green.dds, light_red.dds and light_white.dds in you standard texture folder!
So atm at night we get a missing texture without copy them from the texture folder to the standard (liveries) folder.

If anyone needs the CVN_74_BANO_01.tga you´ll find it here: \DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\World\textures --> NAVY_Textures.zip

The original DCS front, centre and back main texture files all had an alpha layer.  The recent updated much improved and nicely weathered texture files do not.  If you use those texture files without the alpha layers you get white solid fences, box shaped aerials and its apparent on all three texture files. 

You have to find copies of the originals, extract the alpha layers and apply them to the new texture files.

Here is a copy of my alpha layers:  f = front, c = centre and b = back.

I have also included a copy of each of the main dds files WITH the alpha layer applied, but no numbers or names.

You will have to create your own Liveries files from what I have given you, I have a different setup and textures arrangement which wont suit everyone.

Hey Currenthill, I've had a hard time triggering AI assets to engage the Ropucha. Ground based AShM, ships, and strike aircraft, all refuse to engage it with the normal editor actions. 

Intel i7 9700k CPU

ED has got into the habit of stealing mods from the community without asking their author's permission...
They integrate your Ropucha class model, they did the same with Dimitriov's VAB Mephisto...

It's not the integration by ED of all these mods made by the community that bothers me...
It's that generally, this is done without warning the authors of these mods, without asking their authorization.. .

On the one hand, ED makes it more difficult for modders by locking more and more elements, on the other hand, they steal the work of modders...
It really sucks..

No, no. That is not the case. The Ropucha mod was based on an unused ED model that's been part of the DCS installation for some time (it was removed in later versions though). By some unknown reason ED decided at this point to update the old (unused) 3D model with correct connectors and implement it in game. Unfortunately they don't seem to make use of the front hatch for deployment of vehicles. 

I made it quite clear in my readme's that the 3D model used in my mod was EDs.

wonder where you got that information, I have never seen ED behaving as you say … please provide actual evidence.
