[CANNOT REPRODUCE INTERNALLY] Enemy ground vehicles on SA page from F/F

F/F elements with radar on can detect enemy ground vehicles and said ground vehicles appear as F/F hostile contacts (red v) on the SA page.

 

 

 

Does not apply to enemy infantry units, including enemy MANPADS.

 

 

Tested on 2.5.4.28090 Open Beta, PG map, custom mission. No mods installed. Track and mission file included.

 

 

In the included mission file, I have named the waypoints according to the unit type in question, to facilitate testing. 1.Armor, 2.ZU-23, 3.Infantry, 4.ZSU-23-4, 5.SA-11, 6.SA-13, 7.SA-18 MANPADS

A screenshot that shows this again, this time the enemy ground units were up on some mountains. The SA page designator displays the barometric altitude of the unit on the right and a speed of 0.0 Mach on the left (obviously).

I just did a training flight with a buddy and I had the same problem: My SA page was cluttered with ground targets that were detected by friendly fighters. They disappeared when turning F/F off and reappeared when turning F/F on.

 

Oddly enough, my buddy, who was flying with me in the same group with me as his wingman, did not see those contacts on his SA page.

Very strange that some people don't have it. It's very consistent with me. I haven't tested MP, only SP and it happens every time. I just hope when the general issues with F/F are fixed, it gets fixed as well.

 

It won't happen if the friendly fighters have radars to Off, only On.

 

 

And I found that an F/F unit with radar on still needs to be close, most of the time, like below 5nm.

I've seen this from time to time as well. Never thought it was ground units, but speed/alt was always zero. I thought it was the already reported SA F/F bug.

Still present on OB 2.5.4.2846.

 

Again, F/F donors must have their radar activated.

 

Same thing as before, except from the fact that SA ground contacts disappear when F/F radars are no longer detecting them, due to the corrected SA page bug regarding ghost contacts.

Again, it only occurs when the F/F donors have their radars on and are flying very close to the enemy ground units (2-3 miles out, low altitude).
