Can't wait to see that Syria map! Matt seems pretty excited about it! Also seems that they are quite involved in the dynamic campaign already, which is an awesome news to me!

Wag's is killing me. Why is he so secretive about the new Carrier module?:) I need more details.

It's not that we don't want to share, but if something we want to do doesn't work out then it only inspires drama. So we like to hold the details till the cement is drier.

Its not a bad policy. I'd rather have concrete news a month or whatever it is out, than rumors and drama, for 6 months and then possibly disappointment.

No mention of Vulkan? I thought it would be mentioned in the part talking about performance improvements for VR. Is it still worked on, or is it postponed?

To the contrary

I think Wags said a lot more about the carrier module that we knew so far.

This whole interview was mostly about things already discussed or otherwise known, however, speaking about carrier ops he got me excited. Could it really be the new carrier, new carrier ATC and the deck crew altogether in "not so distant future"? That would be jaw dropping instant buy to me.

Awesome ..thx for sharing ..very informative .. all I can say is: WAGS, Im so happy you are doing what you doing ..and this with so much passion and dedication..

Never could imagine during my childhood "Strike Commander" times, that I would fall in love so much with another flight sim , named LockOn (and later on DCS .. )

what a long journey ..what a nice evolution .. :joystick:

( writing this , I just realised that Im actually 10 years into this Sim, founded my user name "JABO2009" within the german "LockOnforum" and later moved over here in 2012 :D )

I know. I'm really killing myself:) because I'm so intrigued on how it's all going to work. Specifically, the elevators, deck crew, & hangar deck. The current Stennis' hangar deck can barely fit 2 AI Hornets.lol

That's never happened before so..... :music_whistling::D

However, the VR work for using VR controllers as joystick makes sense for LOMAC users, but probably a waste for most DCS users I know. But I get that you have to grow the casual user base.

Glad to hear that terrain mods are being worked on to get the performance of VR up!

And thanks to the OP for timelining the Podcast!

Okay so ED won't ever publish a full fidelity Mikoyan/Suhkoi module, got it. But 3rd Partys alrighty and is looking into it!

Or if ED had another large studio outside of Russia...

I guess it's to avoid any conflict of interest/corruption accusation for anyone with any links directly or otherwise with UAC. Apparently not the case with Russian Helicopters

I noticed the omission also, and in fact it’s been quite a while since Vulcan has been mentioned by ED.

Makes me think maybe:

It's not that we don't want to share, but if something we want to do doesn't work out...
