JABO2009 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Hi folks, I have a strange behaviour when I want to join MP recently.. when I want to join a server , I get a "Connection timeout" message, followed by the red "Client tainted" sign on the MP server list ... whants going on, I dont have any Mods installed actually .. When I click on the client tainted sign , it shows me the direction of the tainted files .. its pointing toward -> Coremods / aircraft / F18 / -> "shapes" folder ! i never ever touched any files in that particular folder ... whats the solution for this strange error ??:huh: pls help Cheers Intel I7 - 10700 K @ 3,80GHz / 64 GB DDR3 / RTX 3090 / Win 10 Home 64 bit / Logitech X56 HOTAS / HP Reverb G2 Running DCS on latest OB version

JABO2009 Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Ok this time Im really pissed off .. I cleaned up and repaired DCS according to the above link .. ( thanks SVgamer for sharing) and I sucessfully upgraded to todays OB version , but on MP I still get this weird "client tainted" message .. what the hell is going on ?? DCS integrity check is exactly pointing to this folder: "models/fa-18c.edm @ coremods/aircraft/fa-18c/shapes" can someone pls send me a vanilla "shapes" folder of the Hornet , maybe then Im getting rid of this annoying integrity check issue ... PLS help .. no joy at all .. Intel I7 - 10700 K @ 3,80GHz / 64 GB DDR3 / RTX 3090 / Win 10 Home 64 bit / Logitech X56 HOTAS / HP Reverb G2 Running DCS on latest OB version
JABO2009 Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 seems like I could fix the problem meanwhile: as the normal "cleanup and repair procedure" didnt work, I deleted the affected "shapes" folder and then ran a repair .. the repair Re-downloaded the shapes folder,... now after testing on 2 servers with IC on, I can pass IC without any issue.. ( so far.. ) Intel I7 - 10700 K @ 3,80GHz / 64 GB DDR3 / RTX 3090 / Win 10 Home 64 bit / Logitech X56 HOTAS / HP Reverb G2 Running DCS on latest OB version

joey45 Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 delete the problem file(s) and run a repair. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
