williehayesjr
Hello my brothers and sisters. Can anyone tell me the key to re-set my trim? Every time I start a mission my jet veer to the left and I have to right trim click about 6 times to get it level (I have a symmetric load). Is there a key(s) to re-set the trim? Davee
Hello my brothers and sisters. Can anyone tell me the key to re-set my trim? Every time I start a mission my jet veer to the left and I have to right trim click about 6 times to get it level (I have a symmetric load). Is there a key(s) to re-set the trim? There is no trim re-set in the Hornet. Just some thoughts: Have you followed the trim setting procedures at startup? Are your rudder pedals centred correctly? Are both engines putting out the same power? Edited March 15, 2019 by Catseye
limbotimbo
Think this is a known bug introduced in the latest update Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
TechRoss
There was a roll bug introduced 2 patches ago. They said it was fixed last patch but I am still getting the same roll. Not sure if anything has been reported on this as I only flew the Hornet a bit last night and did not do any more investigation yet today.
macedk
Also check your keybindings. I flew a couple of days ago along side the f14. Had no weird roll issues. oldcrusty
There is no trim re-set in the Hornet. Just some thoughts: Have you followed the trim setting procedures at startup? Are your rudder pedals centred correctly? Are both engines putting out the same power? Well, in normal flight... you're right. (in real Hornet) With weight on wheels, it's a bit different. Little quote from natops: 2.8.2.2.7 T/O Trim Button. The T/O Trim button is in the center of the rudder trim knob on the FCS panel. With WOW, holding the button pressed drives the roll and yaw trim to the neutral position, stabilator to 12° nose up, and zeros the MECH stick position. When the roll and yaw control surfaces are trimmed to neutral and the stabilator to 12° nose up, the TRIM advisory is displayed on the DDI until the button is released. Actuation of roll trim within 20 seconds of FCS IBIT with wings folded inhibits roll trim. Roll trim is reactivated by pressing the T/O Trim button with WOW. In flight and CAS, pressing the T/O Trim button only neutralizes the MECH stick position.
Banzaiib
pull up your FCS page... it's pretty easy to see where your trim is set for all axes.
A2597
Hah, I've noticed the roll as well. Figured it was an update. I didn't mind it, just meant I actually had to trim for a change.
