How does the rep system work?

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit curious on how the forum.lockon.ru rep system works.

Do you need something like 5-10 rep sent to you to get one extra below your avatar?

Perhaps it requires a few reps sent for one post?

S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'

I don't know exactly how it works. I know I got these by privately contacting forum members and making donations to their Paypal accounts. Bit costy though but hey, i'm already at the number 3!

You can give people positive rep or negative rep depending on their post. Once a lot of people give you rep, that turns into 1 green square under your avatar. I don't know how many it takes to get you one though. Also, once you past a certain amount of post, you could also get one extra green box. For now, i'll give you a rep and you can check it under your user CP on the top left corner of the forum,

IIRC:

1. First "green box":

a). value increases by 1 for each year you have been a member of the forum.

b). value increases by 1 for every 500 posts

2. value increases by 1 and an additional "green box" appears for every 100 reputation points collected from fellow forum members.

Plus, some rep is bestowed by the admins of the forum to mods and testers

Nonsense - the rep system is the same for everyone.

Moderators have an option in the User CP not to have the "add rep" option displayed though - in which case only post count and join date add to the rep level.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere before:

And of course, completely blocked your response from my memory:

Thanks for the info!

I did not start this thread to beg for rep points, but I will not refuse them if you feel like you have to hand some over :music_whistling:. I just wanted to know how it works.

EDIT: Man now everyone will make fun of me with rep messages xD.

Guys ....I honestly mean I did NOT start this thread to ask for points, I appreciate getting them , but this was just meant as a question.
