Would love to hear your thoughts. I just checked amazon US and it doesn't even show up in the search. I wouldn't want to order from HP because Amazon has super easy returns for whatever reason if a return is warranted.

Just realised I need to be at work for various meetings so I've rescheduled it for the 7th. But I'll take that day off to savour the moment. Totes worth it.

Wasn't that due for release today?
On Reddit NineLine mentioned he is trying to figure out what's going on with that update. Most likely will be pushed until Friday if it's not released today. They found something last night and are probably trying to fix it.

My Reverb is arriving tomorrow too.

Does anyone have any tips on setting up the WMR client? Is it automatically downloaded when Windows detects a WMR headset? Also I remember reading that the latest Windows 10 update causes rendering problems for WMR and you have to roll back the update to get optimal performance. Can anyone provide more details please?

It's a jolly nice surprise to get the delivery email a week early, mine arriving tomorrow too. Best thing is that I'm still in the return window for the Rift S, so I can make my best choice between the two.

You just plug it in and windows will download everything it needs. You don't need to roll back unless you want to increase the rendering resolution wmr sets back to 2.0 which is basically the equivalent of setting steam vr options SS to 200%.

You should also download steam vr and wmr for steam vr either stable or beta as you need that for DCS.

Hunchy,

Are you going to try to extend your Reverb cable? I've seen a Display Port booster box on Amazon but you need another booster for USB as well. I use the ValveLink (both HDMI and USB) box with my Odyssey+ - wish there was something like it for Reverb.

Instead of just saying the Reverb is amazing (we know it is), please figure out an instrument on the default SU-25 or whatever that is easy to read that you know for sure we can't read without leaning in so we can tell the difference and get excited so we will spend the $650 as well !!!

What is your CPU and GPU clockrate? Also, if you run it at 60Hz, tell us if you notice the flicker on bright areas. Thanks!

Also, try to see how low a SuperSample you can set and still get a clear display - it would seem that the Reverb should be OK with just 2300x2300 or so - maybe depends on how much AA you use. Some of us with just a 2070 want to make it work OK.

Dave

Huh, it defaults to a 200% SS? Can you change that to native? Any helpful vids on it or is it pretty simple to do?
