- The maker use an APEM contactless mini-stick (for industrial use), that cost more and due size require physical modifications (hole) in throttle grip side panel for fit.

- Since the "MOD" is for use in "Space Sim", he opt in place mini-stick or right side of throttle, under thumb finger.

But what is more important is that tutorial show how wire the mini stick in VPC controller - for figure this he was supported by VPC technician.

Hence who want add an PS3 like mini-stick under index finger for "jets" use, need figure how fit in that place, what probable is more easy due compact size of PS3 like mini-sticks.

The APEM mini-stick probable is too big for place under index finger.

An example of PS3 like mini-stick from other player (from Reddit), not more details published: https://imgur.com/QvSgTod

As the guide show, the external BU0836X used in this installation is not need.

It's not, the throttle hardware and software already support it. My suspicion is that Virpil is waiting for orders to die down before introducing a refreshed version with analog stick. It's not like they don't know about it either, we've been asking for one ever since the throttle was announced, but was told that they wanted to get this initial version out first before investigating variants.

Sorry for the necro, but wanted to ask one or two questions about all this and hopefully someone can answer.

The mini analog stick is all good, this I understand.

What I was thinking of is if it is possible to also exchange the 3 4-way hats that are on the throttle handle for 3 5-way hats. They would be of the same sort as the one that will be moved if installing an analog stick.

If it was possible, does it mean that the new button would need one more cable?

The buttons I was thinking of are these https://www.apem.com/us/nv-series-276.html.

Maybe not that particular brand since they are quite expensive, but something similar.

More buttons means more options and since I'm happy with my V1 throttle I don't want to buy another one just to get a few more buttons and a analog mini stick.

What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
