3 Questions about Lantirn

I need some help with finding targets and killing them with lantirn

 

1- Is there any way to designate a waypoint, steerpoint or should i find targets only manually?

Because messing with this low res thing is pain. At least it would be good if we can see designated point on the hud.

 

2- With area track mode, just before the impact, lantirn looses its focus so gbu misses. i can not hit even a building with this mode. (point track doesn't always work)

 

3- How can i switch to auto-lase mode?

1 - S3 Wp+/Wp- goes through all you waypoints.

I thought s3 wp buttons cycle between the points i designated before. İf i add a map waypoint, can i designate this wp also?

Question 2 is after I release the bomb , lantirn looses area track and shows somewhere else. This doesn't happen all the time

S3 WP buttons cycle between stored WP in the WCS.

Adding a WP (Mark) to the F10 does exactley nothing. You either have to enter those coordinates manualy if you are the RIO, or you have to tell Jester to enter it (but Jester can't jet operate the Lantirn). Then you can cycle trough them.

Designate (Trigger full action) only saves our current point as QDes (S4 right). You can not cycle bewteen designated points, there is always only this one.

 

To loose a track can have multiple causes. Most likely it is running into the masked area (or the gimball limits of the Lantirn).

 

If you show us a video, we can tell you why you lost track.
