rwy12
Hi everyone I am new to the DSC world-and recently bought the Hotas set up. Can someone please help me with the A10c cold startup throttle position. In the videos etc it says you can start engines by pushing the left/right throttle from their stop positions to idle position. I cannot,.my throttle in sim does not move until engine is running??? I have to use the r-CTL-Home/END to start the engines. can you please advise how do I bind these keys to the throttle levers,or is this not possible. I have searched the forums -the explanations are little over me. Many thanks.

In the videos etc it says you can start engines by pushing the left/right throttle from their stop positions to idle position. I cannot,.my throttle in sim does not move until engine is running??? In order to make sure that DCS detects the throttle positions correctly, you should move them over the hump into the OFF position once after the mission has loaded when you're sitting in the cockpit. After that, moving them back over the hump and into the idle position should now be properly recognized by DCS, and you should see your A-10C throttles move along with your real HOTAS Warthog. This step may need to be performed once after every mission load. You can test all this safely as long as battery, inverter and ground power are all off (at least I think it wouldn't do any damage to the jet. And it's a sim after all ;) ). If that doesn't help, can you post a track or a video of your attempted startup, with a description of your real Warthog throttle inputs?
norbot
You should have the option "Synchronize Cockpit Controls with HOTAS Controls at Mission Start" checked.

Many thanks to all for taking time to help. With your help, I have managed to resolve the problem. The above option was unchecked. All OK now after checking it.
