Black Shark Release Date

That's what ubi did and pushed ED to release the original Lock On early. Then it gave both ED and ubi a bad rep because the first release was pretty buggy. I hope they don't make the same mistake again. If the product is finished and ready and released at the end of 07, great, if not, I'm cool with that. I rather wait until its ready.

I was sarcastic SK :D

TO MODS

You guys are awesome. I know I couldn't do what you do because I lack the knowledge, patience, will, and a decent comp to run BS. lol I love you guys, man. I put 'man' in there because I want ya'll to know I meant it in a non homo way.

TO ED

You guys rock the shizzlet out of my worizzled oing boom poon tang bling yo for real! For real! No one touches you in the fast mover side of the equation. In fact, I believe you're so waaaay ahead of the competition it's not evern funny...to them...it is to me. You're God sent to flight simmers with open mind. Dramn straight.

TO WHINERS

You guys rock, too. Ya'll are like the union, ya'll keep ED on their toes. I honestly feel that you guys are blessing in disguise.

Now. Having said that, the ones that whines and stir up poo because they can't stand the thought of their pedigree sim being pushed to extinction by ED can kiss my rear bumper. You guys seriously need to go out on a date. Period!

TO ALL

If I remember correctly, ED used to be very active with their community once upon a time. I wonder who drove them away? Think about that the next time you feel like ranting just for the hell of it.

And suntrace1, do you really believe in release date given by developers? How long have you been gaming? You're the poster boy for why developers should never give release date.

TO ME

This is probably the most worthless post of your posting career. And stop porn surfing.

ED is very active but on russian section. Don't blame them. Once someone from ED (Wags IIRC) posted an update about work in progress only at ENG part. Russians started to shout: "why you (ED) tell more about WIP on the ENG site, not to us?!? This is russian sim, we are Russians so we're more important!!!" or something like that. Well... it was the first time and last that we get news earlier than them! OK! Let they be more important. Be smarter. But can't we get same official posts on both parts of forum?

I'm a lurker and a loner - I don't need high post count to feel confident and don't fly on-line, ever! I believe there are many more like me out there. I speak when I have something to say and I said it with no ill intention, so there's no need to apologize. I wasn't rude and I only said what I think. The same couldn't be said for some of you.

To TekaTeka: I know that you don't feel biased, but you are. You can't claim that the product doesn't affect your feelings about it, especially if you're enthusiastic about it and putting so much energy into it's development.

But many of you also forgot that the product is directed at customers, and customers don't care about A-10C simulator, or whatever. We played this ''game'' with deadlines many many times before. The same thing happened with the announcement about releasing some additional information on BS in June (by Chiz, if my memory serves me correctly), that was released much later on.

If I don't like one thing, is false promises and making fools from those that believed their promise. I find very hypocritical, when the same people, who are now preachers (not everybody of course), were not that long ago the biggest whiners on UBI forum.

Sorry if this is not something you would like to hear, not my fault. I'm just saying it because

1. - I'm also enthusiastic about the GAME (it's a game people, OK?) and

2. - because I hate when other people's trust and patience is being violated and ridiculed.

I feel so much better now  Before I return to my anonymity, I'd just like to send good wishes and luck to all the team (beta & ED), to finish their work as it deserves and to hopefully soon see the best helicopter sim in the world.

Over & out :ufo:

I don't think ED ever made any promises about a release date, not even the 2006 date they gave.

What bothers me is when people think they've been hard done by a game developer when a game is not released in the time estimated. All that shows to me is an over-inflated sense of entitlement.

It has been said that one of the reasons for the delay is so that more features can be implemented. How is that 'screwing over the customers'?

I said it before on another forum: I paid around 10 pounds for Lock On Gold (sorry ED! hehe). ED don't owe me jack!

Okay, I'm taking deep breaths now....

very simple fair solution for this... ED should give an update to both parts of the forums at the same time... :music_whistling:

No longer active in DCS...

Hmm, a whole lot of to do about nothing! Patience people, it will be what it be. My advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice and never worry about things you cannot control.

Suntrace1, join us on comms some night, I guarantee you will have a good time.

By the way Leafer, do you call that english? Even our Euro friends, (who's english never ceases to amaze me), write better than that! LOL

Yeah and I hope everyone knows that. I hope everyone knows UBI almost killed off Lock ON all together!! I know they wont do it, but if ED wont post an official explanation of what happened I guess its up to us to remind everyone about what a bad publisher UBI inc. really is :(

With the way things have been going in PC gaming lately I would think above all its still necessary. I mean would you buy a brand new UBI game off the shelf? lol

On the other hand, without Ubisoft, Lock On probably wouldn't exist in the first place. No F-15, maybe no A-10, either. Whatever happened in the end, Ubisoft was willing to risk investing in a modern combat sim when everyone else was dropping out.
